Being a broker is the old "buy'em low, sell 'em high game. After the one o'clock bell, brokers have fifteen minutes to close their market orders. This is done by shouting your bids and positioning your hands. Palms out means sell, palms in means buy. I can assure you it's a fun game to win. San Francisco, California, from the "Working" series

Light Up Time: Representative Adam Clayton Powell, D-NY, lights up a cigar today just before announcing the names of members of a House subcommittee to probe what he called "hand me down" school systems of de facto segregation in the north. The hearings, he said, probably will start in Washington and be held later in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Powell, chairman of the House Education Committee, announced the plans at a news conference, Washington DC, March 7, 1966
