Nancy Graves' Pendula was inspired by a series of sculptures of the same name that she created in the 1980s. Pendula expressively captures the literal movement of a pendulum as well as the word's meaning to oscillate between one extreme situation to another. Graves visually reproduced scientific infomation such as diagrams and maps throughout her career.
