The work of prominent photographer and filmmaker, Laurel Nakadate, born in Ames, Iowa,often focuses on emotional response and interpersonal connection particular in this age of social media and digital distractions. These photographs represent one month (February) of her "365 Days, A Catalogue of Tears" series, in which the artist photographed herself crying every day for an entire year. The intimate images capture various aspects of Nakadate's life, from private scenes at home to anonymous hotel rooms and various images of travel, including a trip to see her relatives in Iowa.
