Label TextGispert used a combination of painting and printmaking techniques to create this work. Using a hydraulic press, the artist created custom, asphalt-like canvases made of painted gravel, with gold chains pressured into meandering lines. Both stone and metal are polished to a high shine, resulting in glimmering textured surface that evokes grit and glamour. The title Jimmy Page refers to Led Zeppelin’s lead guitarist and the decadent culture of Rock music’s 1970s heyday.
