Label Text Kerry James Marshall was born in Birmingham was active in Chicago. His art explores contemporary Black American culture. In this lithograph, a black angel stands in a room and looks out at the vieewer. On the wall behind him are framed portraits of Martin Luther King, Jr., and John Kennedy.
