Label Text Olafur Eliasson, born in Denmark of Icelandic parents, is one of the most acclaimed artists working today and is active in multiple mediums, including architecture, photography, and sculpture. Black Hole Lamp, 2006, is a sphere comprised of camera shutters with a light bulb at its center. Rays of light emanate from the partially opened shutters and illuminate the sculpture's surroundings.
