Label Text Mounting the Machine by Phillip Chen is a significant example of the artist's imagery and technical skills. This relief etching refers to the scrutiny placed upon women who rode bicycles in the late 19th century America. This activity was so provocative that the bikes were sometimes equipped with holsters to protect the women from the amorous advances of men. Source: News, July August September, 2006.
