Exhibition History"Anselm Kiefer, Departure From Europe, 1984 - 1985", Marian Goodman Gallery
Anselm Kiefer's Exodus (1985) is comprised of lead and Shellac on charred photographic paper on board. Kiefer is a contemporary German artist whose work focuses as much on his mterials as on the content in his art. His work confronts German's heritage and troubled history, often through the depiction of landscapes ravaged by war.
