Label TextWilliam Thomas Wiley is a younger California painter, whose vigorous expressionist style of figurative paintings is closely alined to the current San Francisco approach. In the large canvas of "The Vamp", a compelling image is presented with bold execution of strident colors and an emotionally charged construction of rounded and two-dimensinal forms.  Source:  Bulletin, December 1962.
