Label Text Rifka's work is often thought to be representative of the period in the 1970s and 1980s when the worlds of popular music, high art, and the club scene jostled for space. In the early 80s, she began to use a layering collage technique to juxtapose fragments of abstraction and boldly drawn images from popular culture. Source: News, September October 1999.
