Label Text Ruscha was born in Nebraska, raised in Oklahoma and received his art training in Los Angeles. He was one of the first practitioners of Pop Art on the West Coast and his pictures of words are characterized by a careful eye for detail. Source: Bulletin, March-April, 1974.
