Label Text Painted in 1960, the subject illustrates the artist's constant interest in the human figure. The painting is executed in polymer which is especially conducive to clean primary color. Artist in residence of the Des Moines Art Center since 1959, Freimark studied at the University of Toledo, Cranbrook Academy of Art and in the Max Weber workshop at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He has been widely exhibited in both regional and national exhibitions with painting, drawings, prints and ceramics. His one man exhibitions include the Toledo Museum of Art, Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts, Canton Art Institute and the Des Moines Art Center along with many colleges and universities.
